I ordered the remote with my three shades, which came pre-programmed. If you need to re-program the remote or add other shades to it, it is very easy.

We absolutely love having the window shade integrated with our home automation. It was easy to install and looks great. If it’s your first shade I recommend ordering a remote just in case you accidentally factory reset the limits trying to pair it with Alexa. We didn’t but technical support was able to figure out what had happened and ordering a remote was an easy fix that only delayed our setup by a couple of days.

The 15 channel remote works very well. It is fairly easy to program. We were able to add new shades to the remote without any issues and have been able to control our shades both individually and as a group.

Purchased 5 blinds with only one remote. Even though we bought them to work with our smart home setup, my wife really liked the wall mountable remotes. I ordered 3 more. When they come with the blinds, they come preprogrammed... so I had to learn how to program the new ones... which wasn't hard at all. You know your doing the right thing as you go through the steps. Was pretty neat. Your able to control 5 separate blinds with this style remote. This is all I need for this room... If I expand into different rooms, I wouldn't need the ability to control them from those remotes anyway. You can command them all at the same time by lighting all 5 lights up top, or pick and choose. Very happy with the simple setup for these remotes with existing blinds. Looking forward to getting more blinds and remotes in the future!
